Five Pieces in the Alto Clef (1980-82), music for the alto clef Music by Richard Hoadley
Music written while I was learning the viola at the age of 17. I spent time with the viola in order to become more fluent in the alto clef. Here's the certificate of the Grade 3 exam I took in 1980:
Taking a grade 3 exam at the age of eighteen does not feel like a very cool thing to do. I wrote the pieces also in order to practice (as a trumpet player) writing for a stringed instrument.
