Max and MIDI

Download the files above and place them in a directory of your own. Open the files called 'maxmidi.txt' and 'midicontrols.txt' in Max/MSP. For some information on using numbers in Max, open the file max1.txt in the same directory...

Max and MIDI Project

Using the MIDI capabilities of Max, attempt one of the following:

• Create a patch that plays a chord when you play a note on either the qwerty or the MIDI keyboard;
• Create a patch that in one way or another utilises some sort of numeric function, e.g. 'wonderousness';
• Create a patch that manipulates at least two MIDI parameters through mouse control - for instance, pitch, velocity and/or programme change.
