Task 2 - The Sound Object 1

Using Logic, construct a short piece exploring the notion of the 'Sound Object'. Use ONE sound only which you have recorded yourself to generate the whole piece (listen, for example, to Jonty Harrison's 'Klang' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtTaFj2ODzY ). Any source is possible, except for other recorded media - i.e. material on CD, tape, MP3, vinyl etc., (although be careful of quality). You should explore the sound using (i) editing techniques in the 'Arrange Window' and (ii) editing of the original sample in the 'Sample Editor Window'.   Also experiment with the EXS24 sampler as covered in class.

A good piece of 20 seconds is sufficient.

You should create a final mix-down (bounce) of your piece and save the audio file (mp3) as 'Task 2 - Your Name' and bring it along to the next session.

This task will count towards the assessment of this module and should be completed before the start of the next week's class.
